God's Character

 1 John 4:8: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 

Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 

2 Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 

James 1:17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 


A. God is Love: This verse emphasizes that love is a central attribute of God's character. Anyone who knows God will reflect this love in their own lives. 

B. God is Unchanging: This verse highlights the unchanging nature of God. Jesus Christ remains constant throughout all time, embodying the eternal and unalterable character of God. 

C. God is Patient and Merciful: God shows great patience and desire for all to come to repentance, reflecting His merciful nature. 

D. God is The Giver of Good Gifts and is Consistent: This passage emphasizes that all good things come from God and that He is consistent and unchanging, without any variation.
