Christian Facts Part 5 Final

Before we begin, I would like to take a moment and apologize for my absence. My family and I have been battling the cold that has been going around. It feels like one or two of us get it then the next ones and then it starts all over again. Thank you for your continual prayers and I pray that you are blessed, healthy, and safe!

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

1. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you":

This reveals that God is speaking to the people of Israel (and, by extension, to all believers). It indicates that God has a personal and deliberate plan for His people, and He is actively thinking about them with care and purpose.

2. "saith the Lord":

This phrase confirms that the message is coming directly from God. It's not just a general statement; it's a declaration from the Creator Himself.

3. "thoughts of peace, not of evil":

God's plan for His people are focused on peace and well-being, not on harm or destruction. The word "peace" here implies a sense of wholeness, prosperity, and security. God is promising to guide and care for His people in a way that will bring good, not harm.

4. "to give you an expected end":

The phrase "expected end" refers to a future hope or a desired outcome. It means that God's plan is ultimately for good, and He will bring His people to a future full of hope, fulfillment, and blessings. The "end" here isn't an ending in the sense of finality, but rather the culmination or fulfillment of God's purpose for them.

Context:

This verse was originally given to the Israelites when they were in exile in Babylon. They were experiencing hardship and uncertainty, and God was reminding them that despite their current situation, He had a good and hopeful plan for their future.

For modern readers, this verse offers assurance that God's plans are always good, even when circumstances may be difficult. It encourages faith and trust in God's timing and purpose, with the confidence that He is working toward a positive and fulfilling future for His people.
